yeah

today at after school program we were playing ultimate frisbee. there was one girl who really wasn't enjoying herself. she wasn't engaging, and eventually went to sit down on the side (she never likes those active sports - i see her on the sidelines at recreation). i went over and sat next to her. we chatted for a little. i learned all about her sister's birthday/ slumber party this weekend, and how there will be a family get together this sunday at her home. and how she slept late on her day off the other day. so we talked for maybe 10 minutes and after that, she looked a lot happier and ran off onto the court and started playing frisbee with the rest of the group. (and for the rest of the day she seemed very happy).
