who knew dreams last

okay

so friday at the end of fun night (read: family understanding night) rosie and i were in this big gym just sort of playing around with a few kids. we start playing duck duck goose which really meant tag to the kids which really meant rosie and jackie run around trying to tag kids (or running slower than kids to catch our breath) (or running near them just to scare them) and every single time we tagged them it, rosie and i were magically it again. who knew duck duck tag never ended.

so bobby and i have been in secret contact lately (and you know where this is going). because today is chrissi's birthday. and we plotted a top secret surprise party for her at a rest stop off 495 in lowell massachusetts. she never suspected a thing, like any normal person. bobby bought a cake and stowed it away in his trunk. en route i called chrissi (as a signal to bobby that i was on the road and would be there in 45 minutes) and we chatted. bobby stopped a little while later at dunkin donuts in order to use the bathroom (of course) (or maybe to call me to confirm plans). and so we planned for him to park as close to the entrance as possible and i would park as close to the exit as i could. he and or chrissi would get out of the car to use the bathroom or, in his case, to "confirm directions" to the top secret location he was taking chrissi (which he does often enough). i saw him when he walked by, grabbed my pink barbie keyboard which plays happy birthday tunes and jumped into the drivers seat of bobby's car, suprising dear chrissi. then we went on a top secret adventure through lowell and tewksbury for the sole reason of finding somewhere odd to stop and confuse chrissi. i found just the right place, just the right unsuspecting location, dollar tree. so i led them in and walked to the back of the store with confidence and led them around the store and then wordlessly walked out the front door and back to the car. we ended up having a casual dinner at ihop and parting ways afterwards. (happy birthday chrissi) (she's 16!) (or 20) (or 23) (i forget).

so my teacher has been trying to hook me up with her son because she likes him and she loves me and he's single. i keep telling her i'm taken, and she still asks every once in a while about it. it just clicked the other day - like this: CLICK - and i said, no, no, no that can't be. i knew someone with that name from my college. my small catholic liberal arts school. but this is new hampshire. we're 2 hours away. it can't possibly be the same person. so i hopped onto my facebook account, knowing all well what the results would be. as it turns out, i do know her son. we have 49 mutual friends. i probably had classes with him in school. weirdsville. i've yet to mention that i know him (keep in mind she's always mentioning him. oh he did this this weekend. oh we went to see him this day. oh he's doing well. oh he's single.) hmm.
